The State Ethics Commission has scheduled a Lobbying Education Presentation for Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 9:30 until noon at:

This Education Presentation will provide a general overview of the gift ban and the registration and reporting requirements of the Lobbying Law. It is designed for those who are or may become registered lobbyists, lobbyist principals, and liaison personnel. This presentation does NOT satisfy the mandatory ethics education requirement applicable to individuals who are subject to the State Government Ethics Act.
CLE Credit
The Commission has applied to the North Carolina State Bar for CLE credit approval for the Lobbying Education Presentation. When offered in May 2014, the course was approved for a total of two CLE credit hours, one ethics credit and one regular credit. Participants will be required to pay the applicable CLE fee of $3 per credit hour.

In order to attend, you must register for the presentation no later than Friday, January 9, 2015. In order to register, please send an email to Ethics.Commission@doa.nc.gov that includes your name and telephone number or call LaTonya Washington at 919-715-2071.
In addition, if you have particular questions that you would like Commission staff to address at the presentation, please e-mail those questions to Ethics.Commission@doa.nc.gov. We would appreciate receiving those questions by Friday, January 9, 2015, if possible.
