RLA seeks a full-time associate familiar with the North Carolina General Assembly to work with clients and policymakers engaged in a number of issue areas, including healthcare, energy and environment, and substance abuse treatment. Specific Responsibilities Include:

Support client calls and other client communications and coordination, ensuring accurate tracking of follow-ups, tasks, deadlines, and goals
Provide scheduling and other administrative support to the RLA president and RLA clients
Assist in preparing for client and legislator meetings by creating detailed meeting agendas and assembling necessary documents in advance
Provide logistical and in-person support for clients visiting the General Assembly during client visits and lobby days
Edit and format written materials, including correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials and documents
Manage RLA invoicing, including tracking accounts receivable for timely and accurate financial transactions
Acquire and maintain NC Notary certification to facilitate official document verification and processing
Manage state lobbying compliance for RLA and its clients to ensure timely submission of expense reports and registration documents
Maintain confidentiality standards regarding RLA and its clients
Monitor legislative meetings and provide summaries for RLA staff and clients

Qualifications:

Familiarity with the North Carolina General Assembly
Proficiency in office software (MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
Detail-oriented and proactive problem-solving abilities
